Hedda Gabler

Hedda Gabler is a play written by Henrick Ibsen. The script is described as the female version of Hamlet. The story line revolves around the character Hedda whom is trapped in a marriage and household that she does not want. The design is a modern and historical twist that matches the reinterpretation of the script. The story board (bellow) showcases the changing of scenes with lighting and atmosphere. The set is inspired by 1890's gothic church architecture. It is broken and in ruins to illustrate the falling of old cultural establishments and roles, and also portrays the characters trying to live in run down ideals. Technical drawings made in Autocad and Layout.
